Ultimate Music Picks 2007/2008 – Video Volume 1

So I figured I’d finally get around to making a playlist. I was wrong. So now at 3:14 in the morning – after fighting with flock for those 14 minutes – EVERYTHING is getting rolled into one via the Wicked Rabbit Weblog on WordPress. As if that wasn’t enough of a mouthful.

Favorite all time picks from artists that I’ve been listening to for years, namely after I got severely in to goth music. Goth or not THESE bands are deffinatly influencial on, if not gothic music, on the scene itself in some manner or a lot of the people in it. (or at least it used to be that way i don’t know what the hell they’re listening to now). Maybe they were just outside on the edge influences at the time even. Leave it to me.

1. Nick Cave – With a deep voice and an apparent Folk American influence Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds have released fantastic albums. Most notable – Murder Ballads with Tracks such as Henry Lee preformed with P. J. Harvey, Red Right hand – also on the Sound Track for the film “Scream” and its subsequent sequel and triple incarnations. Cave also was associated with a band called The Birthday Party prior to forming Nick Cave and the Badseeds and along side present work with The Badseeds has done a solo project/Grinderman.

1: Henry Lee
2: As I Sat Sadly By Her Side
3: Bring It On
4: Stagger Lee
5: Where the Wild Roses Grow
6: Do You Love Me
7: Red Right Hand
8: 15 Feet of Pure White Snow
